...an it's filled with artery clogging beer sausage. Only in Wisconsin will you encounter a blob of meat loosely shaped like a beer bottle and labeled as pabst blue ribbon. God bless America!

Snowww

Apparently it likes to snow in the Midwest, who knew? 3am and still 9 hours from the first show on Minneapolis. I think I am going to try and get some sleep. There's a long day of driving, blogging and rocking out ahead of me.

All packed

It took years of intensive tetris playing and along with a degree in vanpackular engineering to get everything into our 12 passenger van. I think we figured out why most bands go on tour with a trailer attached to the back.

But let's start things from the beginning. We all went up to Steph (trombone) and Jeremy's (Steph's brother/tour manager) apartment for a potluck dinner. We devoured steak (some of the best I have ever had), mac and cheese, bruscetta and various other snacks as we played wii and packed. I'm pretty confident that if music doesn't work out, we could dominate the culinary world.

So after the delicious meal, we all settled down and watched tropic thunder. I have one long word for that movie frigginhilarious!

9am brought breakfast a la Howie (bass player). He made egg/cheese/bacon quesadillas. To stay with the one word theme, I would describe it as friggindelicious! Perfect brain fuel for solving the van packing enigma.

It's offical, the Tip the Van tour blog is up and running. I have tested and retested the system and it looks like it will be easy to update while on the road via my iPhone. The idea is to keep friends, family and fans up to date while we are traveling across the country. I plan on taking pictures of all all the venues when we get there as well as pictures of crowds, fans, Reel Big Fish, Streetlight Manifesto, after parties and whatever craziness we end up getting into. All the pictures that I post will be available at a larger size simply by clicking on them (when I post from the road). I plan on posting multiple times during each day of the tour, so make sure to check back frequently. You can also comment on anything I post, so if you want to see more pictures of, say, a particular venue, just leave a comment about it.

This blog will start off slow, given it is the holiday season and there are still a lot of loose ends to tie up before we get on the road, but come early January, things should be in full swing.
